Activities in the area

There is so much to experience! Not only does Huize Nolby exude tranquility, it is also the perfect location for (active) trips. Hiking, canoeing, touring or sightseeing – it’s all possible.

In the area there are various hiking trails for beginners and advanced hikers. Värmland can also be discovered on, in and next to the water, such as around Sweden’s largest lake, Vänern. In addition, there are several golf courses in the area. And what about visiting cities? Värmland is a border province with Norway and Oslo is 1.5 hours from Huize Nolby! The provincial capital Karlstad can also be reached within 1.5 hours.

In Huize Nolby there is a folder with activities that you could do.

It has five lifts and twelve slopes (drop height 220 metres, longest descent 1325 metres) and ski stadium Kiölåsen (8 kilometers north) with 7 kilometers of cross-country trails, 8 kilometers of electric light trails. The routes are connected to the ski center Valfjället. There is a ski school with, among other things, a ski rental.

The land where the monument stands belongs to the Swedish Association for Peace and Arbitration and the Norwegian Peace Association.
